67 Kids and Counting

A few weeks ago all three of our campuses of YWAM (Youth With A Mission) San Diego/Baja got together for a staff retreat. It was a time for us to reflect on the last year and look forward towards the future.  We were very blessed to have Peter Warren, the founder and base director for YWAM Denver, with us to share about suffering.  For those who may not know or remember, YWAM Denver was the location of a fatal shooting several years ago when I was still living in Ensenada.  He had some very valid points that I will share with you all soon. 

It was really amazing to see all of our staff as we are always so spread out and so very busy that we are very rarely in the same place at the same time. I didn't realize how much our staff has grown in just the last year or so.  We took a full staff picture on the front steps and we fill up the entirety of our welcome center. Last time we took a picture on these steps we had students and volunteers included. This go around, it is just full-time staff and kids.  We currently have 140 full-time missionaries and 67 children.  And we are expanding. Later this week, I will share a story of the 37 new missionaries joining us full-time and the 6 woman who are pregnant currently just on our San Antonio del Mar campus alone! 


As our campus director, Janet, recently told me, "we are going to need to expand the preschool".
