If we are friends on Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter you have probably noticed a plethora of sunset pictures being loaded to my page everyday. Several weeks ago, a good friend of our base came down to build a house with his wife, kids & a mom's ministry from their church. It was a little odd to see them here as a build team as they are usually down to lead worship or speak in our schools. Anyways, as I was walking with Kenny from our offices to our main meeting hall just chatting away, he noticed the beautiful sunset over the ocean across from the campus. He looked over at me and asked if I ever even noticed it anymore. I confessed that much of the time I am too busy to even see it. He looked at me with shock and reprimanded me for not taking in all of God's beauty right in front of me. I was challenged to take the time to see God's artwork on the canvas in the sky. I have since taken a picture just about every night of the sunset and have been blessed to be able to take a few really awesome pictures of the moon as well. We seriously have the most beautiful sunsets every single night. As I watch the sunset, I am again reminded of how perfectly God created our world. "He made the moon to mark the seasons; the sun knows its time for setting." (Psalm 104:19 ESV) "that people may know, from the rising of the sun and from the west, that there is none besides me; I am the Lord, and there is no other." If we aren't friends on any of the social media outlets, here are a few of those pictures. What beautiful thing in God's creation have you noticed today? I'd love to hear about it.
