Preschool Crafts: Cardboard Tube Snowmen

Today in our YWAM preschool class with Little Builders Preschool, our students are talking about Christmas. While we are learning about the real reason for the season, Jesus, we are also talking about all the other fun things that come with Christmas.

Today, along with meeting our new letter friend, Mr. Z, we also talked about snowmen. Now here in Mexico it doesn't snow so we have to use our imagination & remember things we've seen before in books & movies. We remembered that snowmen are made of balls of snow, with 3 buttons on their belly, 2 eyes, a carrot nose, a mouth, a scarf and a hat.

For our craft, we made these super cute cardboard tube snowmen. (Find the directions below).

Preschool Printables: The Alphabet Book

One of the things that we love to learn and work on in our preschool is our Letters. I use the 70's Letter People to teach our students. It teaches the alphabet out of order and because of that it promotes letter recognition, letter sounds and introduces words that begin with that letter. As you go through the whole alphabet, it even introduces how letters fit together to make even new sounds. This is the beginning of reading so it is a very important aspect of any early learning center.

Because we are working on our letters and not just recognizing them but how to write them as well, I created this awesome Letter Book. Below is a sneak peak at today's FREEBIE.

I led short-term missions trips for 6 years and the Lord opened the door for me to mix both of my passions, missions and teaching.
