My grandchildren are now studying in French, so I decided to start making French materials for them. I am enjoying creating new products as well. Watch out for more in the future.
This is a French version of my alphabet and number/number word match game.

This time of year it's a great science unit because it can be taught outdoors, which is one of my favorite places to teach. A few years ago I created this free air lesson to help students begin learning about the weather, and how air causes the weather to change. Children love learning about the weather, and to be honest many weather phenomenons truly are amazing. This freebie is a great way to begin your unit.

This worksheet is made to be used with snap cubes. The students use 20 snap cubes to create as many rectangular prisms as they can.The activity is geared to help the students make a connection between the chart and the algorithm. It also reinforces the concept that different shapes can have the same volume.

We see many students in speech-language therapy, who have difficulty with categorizing; especially as the categories get less concrete and more conceptual. Often a student who can name 3 animals cannot name 3 oval things, or 3 green things, or 3 things that are found in a cave. (I’m not sure where that last one came from.)
Categorizing is an important language skill for all students to develop. Our understanding of vocabulary - which we need for reading comprehension, listening comprehension, and even conversations - is dependent upon our understanding of how words are related to one another.
In speech-language therapy, we spend a lot of time working on these semantic relationships, beginning with basic categories, and moving through more and more specific groups.
Categorical relationships go beyond knowing which group a zebra or table belongs to. Items can be categorized by descriptors (soft things, striped things, sweet things) or by personalized features (things I like).

AuthorI am on an amazing adventure traveling the world with Jesus. After 7 years of teaching preschool in Alabama, God called me to the mission field in Mexico full time. I led short-term missions trips for 6 years and the Lord opened the door for me to mix both of my passions, missions and teaching. I am now the director of Little Builders Preschool and we will soon be opening a full International K-12 school. The current students are missionary kids but will be open to the local community in the future. As a full-time missionary, I do not receive a traditional pay check.
