What is a GO Team? I am so glad that you asked. I need people who are willing to come along side of me in support of what I am doing here in Mexico.
A member of my GO Team is committed to participate in the following ways:
Emotional Support: This is sending me encouraging words through letters, packages, emails, etc.
Spiritual Support: This is praying for me on a regular basis; pick a day of the week or a specific hour each day.
Physical Support: Come and visit me and work along side of me in the city of Tijuana.
Financial Support: I can't live here without your financial support. I am able to pour out and bless because people pour into me and bless.
Why are these things important to my continued ministry? Let me break it down for you:
Emotional Support: It can be very lonely on the mission field, being away from friends and family. At times I feel disconnected from everyone and everything going on at home. This helps me stay connected and feel that what I am doing here matters to you guys at home. This also reminds me that I am loved.
Spiritual Support: Because of what I am doing, it is easy to come under spiritual attack. Satan doesn't like what we do here for the kingdom of God. I need to be constantly covered in prayer so that my focus remains on God and not man.
Physical Support: It is hard to explain, even with pictures and video, what life is really like here in Tijuana and on the mission field. It is much more effective to show you in person. Plus the added benefit of being able to have a piece of home here with me is that much more exciting. There are so many ways you can serve, just ask.
Financial Support: I do not get paid for what I am doing. I have no income other than the generous gifts from people like you. Each month I must pay about $800.00 for my living expenses and this doesn't include trying to save for the future or unexpected expenses. Your financial support also helps me contribute to various ministries and families in Mexico by buying food and clothing for them as well as sponsoring teenagers to come through our Mission Adventures program or our Discipleship Training School and providing the opportunity to go unto all the world and preach the good news.
